What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, is eager to attend the opening baseball game with Philip Boynton, but the game is called off when the team has no uniforms. Principal Conklin, unable to pay for new ones, leaves Miss Brooks, Boynton and Walter Denton scrambling to raise the twenty-five dollars needed to rent them. Their attempts to borrow money through the local pawn shop run by Mr. Fisher lead to a series of awkward encounters. Eve Arden stars in this Our Miss Brooks episode, a comedy written by Al Lewis, originally broadcast on CBS Radio on March 26, 1950, with Gale Gordon and Jeff Chandler in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
