What happens
Connie Brooks, the English teacher at Madison High School, spends a free Saturday with her landlady Mrs. Davis, who asks her to drop their cat Minerva off with Harriet Conklin. Connie borrows the car and offers Mr. Boynton a ride. Meanwhile Mr. Conklin, the school principal, is telephoned with news that he has won a television set on a radio quiz program, and he soon sends Connie and Mr. Boynton to collect it from Sherry's department store. The episode is part of the Our Miss Brooks series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on April 2, 1950, with Eve Arden and Gale Gordon in the leads, and the April Fool's Day setting shapes much of the story.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
