What happens
Miss Brooks, a high school teacher at Madison High, is summoned to Mr. Conklin's home an hour before school. There she finds Chief Thundercloud and his wife at the door, who have come to trade goods with Mr. Conklin. Conklin's wife wants a pair of lamps that Mrs. Davis, the landlady, has, and Mrs. Davis wants a painting that belongs to Mr. Boynton. Miss Brooks sets out to arrange a chain of trades involving her cameo ring and Mrs. Conklin's fur coat. Mr. Boynton and Mr. Conklin are soon drawn into the bartering, which Chief Thundercloud steers with his own terms. The series is Our Miss Brooks, first broadcast on CBS Radio on October 10, 1954, and the lead actors are Eve Arden and Gale Gordon.
