What happens

When Nick Carter stops a desperate unemployed man attempting to rob him, he discovers the man's wife has mysteriously vanished after leaving stolen money from a banker's recent murder. Nick uncovers a clever frame-up and finds the stolen bills connected to a second crime: a daring robbery of negotiable bonds from an express company vault in Colorado. As the cases intertwine, Nick suspects a dangerous criminal mastermind is orchestrating both crimes.
