What happens

Nick Carter investigates the death of John Ames' Aunt Mary, ruled a suicide by aconite poisoning, but John believes it was murder. Three Ames heirs have died in four years under suspicious circumstances, and suspicion falls on the Purcells, long-time farm managers who would inherit the property. Nick examines the evidence and the household at the Ames farm to uncover the truth behind what appears to be a carefully planned series of crimes.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
