What happens
Nick Carter takes on a case when a mysterious young man with amnesia arrives at his office, claiming to have woken in a stranger's apartment with no memory of his identity or past. The man carries $10,000 in cash and diamond earrings, raising questions about whether he's involved in a crime. As Nick and Patsy investigate, they discover the woman who helped him is in police custody for hiding a gun—the very gun used to kill a man near the waterfront—and a business card found in the man's possession leads them to another dead body.
Nick Carter's office, Laura David's apartment at 7684 Windsor Road, a dry cleaning shop, police headquarters, and McAllister's library.
Characters: Nick Carter, Patsy, John Powell (the amnesiac client), Laura David, Dr. Bourne, Lieutenant Riley, Warren McAllister
Listen for: The discovery of the gun hidden in a rice can, the mysterious baggage label from the ship Abercrombie found in the suit lining, and the unexpected death of Warren McAllister.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
