What happens
Nick Carter receives a mysterious box purchased at an unclaimed package auction, containing a blood-stained dress, a photograph, and eight phonograph records. The records reveal the voice of Nancy Deering, a wealthy woman being held prisoner in her own house by her cousin Olive and Olive's husband Ralph, who are attempting to force her to sign over her estate. Nancy desperately recorded her story, hoping someone would find the records and avenge her murder.

Listen for: The phonograph records revealing Nancy's account of being held captive by relatives seeking her fortune, her failed escape attempts, and the escalating threat to her life
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
