What happens
Irma Peterson and her friend Jane Stacey learn that their boss, Mr. Clyde, has bought a racehorse named Laughing Boy, and that Mrs. Clyde has invited the office group to the track on Saturday. Irma, who claims a farm background with horses, eagerly plans her bets with help from Mrs. O'Reilly and Stephen Stravondicum, while Jane tries to set her straight. Irma then becomes upset after hearing that Laughing Boy may be sold off because he is old, and she is determined to find out what will happen to the horse. This is the OTRR My Friend Irma Singles version of My Friend Irma, first broadcast on CBS Radio on June 2, 1953, starring Marie Wilson and Cathy Lewis.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
