What happens
Irma Peterson, a secretary in New York, is angry with her women's club after its members come to collect overdue dues, and she writes a resignation letter. When the club's officers arrive with news that Irma has won a raffle, they bring her a prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to England. Irma is delighted and begins planning the journey, while her roommate Jane Stacey and her friends worry about her ability to manage the trip alone. The episode is part of the My Friend Irma radio series, originally broadcast by CBS Radio on May 26, 1953, with Marie Wilson as Irma and Cathy Lewis as Jane.

Listen for: Irma's plans for her London trip and the friends' doubts about her managing it on her own
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
