What happens

George Cougar, a bank vice president, becomes jealous when his wife Liz has her portrait painted by Damon Welch, a rugged and handsome artist. Liz, an heiress who once knew little about housekeeping, is delighted by the attention and the painter's presence. George, feeling left out, decides to fake an illness, and a visiting nurse, Miss McCarthy, is called in. Their household is turned upside down as the Cougars' marriage is tested by comic misunderstandings. The episode is part of the series My Favorite Husband, which premiered in 1948 and stars Lucille Ball and Richard Denning.

The Cougar home in a suburban town, with a visit from a painter and later a doctor's office call.

Listen for: George's jealous reactions to the painter and his faked illness.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
