What happens
George and Liz Cougar drive to Liz's mother Louise's house for the weekend, where Louise has promised a surprise. The surprise is that Louise is marrying Dan Carson, a Texan she met in Houston and has been corresponding with, and the Cougars meet him for the first time. Dan arrives with his friend Slim and a cheerful, boisterous manner that unsettles the household. Louise is overcome with nerves and wedding plans, and George and Liz begin to see the situation as a problem to be solved. My Favorite Husband stars Lucille Ball and Richard Denny.
