Agent Ken Thurston is sent to Montevideo after counterfeit fifty-dollar bills, made from the Himmler plates, turn up in the city. At the El Rio Dorado casino he meets Joan Wilson, the cashier and owner, and Stefan Grabowski, an old acquaintance from Warsaw whose engraving work may be linked to the bills. Thurston is drawn into a web of suspicion involving Grabowski's wife Anna, an assistant named Anton Vadas, and a series of strange events. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
