What happens
Ken Thurston, known as X, is called to the Mekong River in Indochina, where John Dryer is building a hydroelectric dam for the French government. Accidents keep striking the project, and Thurston suspects sabotage. The Anamite villagers believe the dam desecrates their sacred river, and Thurston begins piecing together who stands to gain. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
