What happens

Mama Bloom and her family share an evening at home in this episode of Mama Bloom's Brood. After supper the women wash the dishes, and Papa Jake keeps phoning to say he must stay late at the office for a business conference. Jake returns home unwell and sullen, and Mama tries to coax the reason out of him. He reveals that he saw their daughter Sarah talking privately with Abe Morgenstern, a man with a bad reputation, on a street corner that afternoon. Jake refuses to believe there is any innocent explanation, while Mama argues against him. When Sarah arrives home, she gives an account of her afternoon.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
