What happens

Lum and Abner, the Pine Ridge characters on the long-running radio series, find their general store leased to a motion picture company filming in town. They had planned a sale to clear out stock for the production, only to learn the studio wants the store kept as it was. Lum and Abner now try to buy back the goods they sold, grumbling about the expense. The episode then turns to a missing horse, and Lum and Abner pressure each other over who might have taken it. The lead actors are Chester Lauck, Norris Goff and Lurene Tuttle. The episode originally aired on March 29, 1940.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
