What happens
Lum and Abner try to set up a new bakery inside the Jones Store and Library in Pine Ridge. Lum directs the work while Abner stands on a stepladder fitting the stovepipe through the ceiling, and Grandpa keeps reading his almanac in the library. The stovepipe will not fit through the first hole, and the men argue over how to fix it. Phone calls from customers come in for bread as the work goes on. This episode of the Lum and Abner series first aired on December 5, 1941 and stars Chester Lauck and Norris Goff, with Lurene Tuttle.

Listen for: The bungled stovepipe installation and Lum and Abner's arguments over the holes in the ceiling
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
