What happens
Lum and Abner, the residents of Pine Ridge, gather at the schoolhouse for a demonstration by Prince Alikush, a self-described Hindu miracle man. Lum has come to be healed of a broken leg, and Squire Skimp, who has arranged the event, hopes to collect money from townsfolk with fractured limbs. Skimp is nervous about how Lum will manage his crutches when called to the platform, and the prince performs a chanted healing ritual on stage. The evening is the start of a scheme in which the town's trust is being tested in front of the crowd. Lum is the central figure, with Abner and Cedric among those in the audience.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
