What happens

Abner Peabody and Lum Edwards are trying to learn how Cedric Weehunt has suddenly come into money in the town of Pine Ridge. Abner presses Cedric for his secret, offering him anything he wants, but Cedric insists he has magic power and refuses to explain. Lum takes Cedric off to lunch, and Cedric leads the two men to the back of the store, where he unlocks a room with keys that Dodge Janie Smith left in his car. Inside they find a printing press and a supply of pamphlets, and Cedric demonstrates how he produces ten-dollar bills from it. Abner is astonished and asks to try the press himself. The series Lum and Abner aired on NBC, Mutual, CBS and ABC, and this episode dates from March 17, 1942, with Chester Lauck, Norris Goff and Lurene Tuttle in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
