What happens
Lum and Abner, the proprietors of the Jot 'Em Down Store in Pine Ridge, are troubled by their partner Cedric. Cedric has apparently come into a great deal of money, and the old fellows want to know where it comes from. A stranger named Mr. Adams keeps asking to see Cedric, and Lum and Abner also wonder whether they should keep their partnership with him after the so-called magic lantern turned out to be worthless. Abner hides behind a counter to eavesdrop on Cedric's conversation with Mr. Adams. Chester Lauck and Norris Goff star in the NBC, Mutual, CBS and ABC series, which first aired on March 16, 1942.

Listen for: Abner hiding behind the counter to overhear Cedric and Mr. Adams, and Cedric's remarks about pamphlets, mail-order purchases and his source of money
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
