What happens

Lum and Abner's Pine Ridge store is the setting as Lum and Abner become convinced that Cedric's lantern has the magic powers of an Aladdin's lamp. Believing Cedric has been getting rich by rubbing it, they discuss how the lamp might be obtained, and they worry about a stranger named Adams who has been asking about Cedric. Lum and Abner's plans to acquire the lantern take shape, and they begin to bargain with Cedric over it. This Lum and Abner episode, originally broadcast on March 13, 1942, is led by Chester Lauck, Norris Goff and Lurene Tuttle.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
