What happens

Lum and Abner tracks Pine Ridge on the night of Mousey's rematch with Iron-Eich at the Carnival in Cherry Hill. Lum has signed over his share of the store and bakery to Abner so that Mousey will quit his mill job and train as a boxer. Abner and Grandpappy Spears wait in the store for word of the fight, and Abner, irritated by Grandpappy's teasing, makes a rash wager that risks Lum's half of the store. Their talk turns to who landed the first blow, and Cedric is expected back with news of the bout.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
