What happens

Lum, a man without a job after his fight-manager career collapses, tries to sell pencils and asks Abner for groceries on credit. Abner, now owner of the Storm Bakery after Lum signed it over as what Lum thought was a joke, refuses to give him any. Lum then announces he is leaving for the orphanage, and Abner and Dobey react with alarm and regret. The episode is a comedy of the two men bickering over the bakery and Lum's pride. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
