What happens

Lum and Abner decide to promote their Pine Ridge bakery by baking a silver dollar into one out of every 25 loaves of Lucky Loaf bread, sold at ten cents a loaf. Their plans are soon tested as customers begin ordering in bulk and the pair worry about keeping up with demand. Cedric arrives with a bird whistle, and the two men try to find him steady work. Meanwhile Mousie, still stung by his defeat in the carnival boxing match, announces he intends to challenge Iron-Eye again. The episode is from the Lum and Abner radio series, first broadcast on January 5, 1942, with Chester Lauck, Norris Goff and Lurene Tuttle in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
