What happens
Lum and Abner's Pine Ridge is abuzz as the so-called Hindu miracle man, Prince Ali Kush, arrives in town to perform at the schoolhouse. Grandpappy Spears and Abner gossip at the Jot 'Em Down store about the prince's bone-healing act, and Lum is struck by the idea of having the prince heal his leg. Squire Skimp, who knows the prince, is involved in arranging the show. Lum is eager to meet the visitor, and Cedric is excited by the stories about the prince. The conversation turns to money, as Squire Skimp asks for an advance payment before the show. The episode is an NBC-era installment of the long-running radio comedy series, first broadcast on October 27, 1941, with Chester Lauck, Norris Goff and Lurene Tuttle in the leading roles.
The small community of Pine Ridge, including the Jot 'Em Down store and the schoolhouse.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
