What happens
Lum and Abner and Cedric buy the Professor Hinkledorf property in Pine Ridge at a delinquent tax sale for a small sum, planning to use the farm building to house their growing rabbit stock. On their first inspection of the place they find the professor's old laboratory, shelves of bottles labeled with chemical names, and a dangerous-looking warning on one of them. Lum tinkers with the bottles while Abner warns him to leave them alone, and the trio's curiosity about the professor's leftovers grows as they explore the house and barn. The episode is a 1941 installment of the Lum and Abner series, first aired on June 23, 1941, starring Chester Lauck and Norris Goff, with Lurene Tuttle also in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
