What happens
Lum and Abner run their store in Pine Ridge, where Cedric is in town and the men are busy with checkers and newspaper reading. Lum and Abner had planned to buy a farm to house their rabbits, and they are upset to learn that Cedric has bought the property himself after paying the delinquent taxes. Grandpappy Spears plays checkers with Abner while the others argue over the move. The men discuss the purchase and their frustration with Cedric. The story turns as Cedric explains that he bought the farm for all three of them.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
