What happens

Lum and Abner, the proprietors of the Jot-Em-Down Store in Pine Ridge, find their pet rabbits multiplying faster than they can manage, and the animals are driving customers away from the store. They look for somewhere else to keep the rabbits and turn to Grandpa, who has no land of his own to spare. The partners then consider buying the old Professor Hinkle place, a property being sold for unpaid taxes, and they set their sights on Cedric as a possible investor. The episode is a comedy of schemes, rumours and rural chatter, and the partners' plans grow more ambitious as the talk goes on.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
