What happens
Lum and Abner, proud of their new Pine Ridge United Bank, withdraw their savings from the county seat bank and worry about keeping it safe. Lum buys a red bank guard uniform for Abner, who dresses up in it and borrows a pistol. Cedric arrives to cash a check and assumes Abner is part of a parade. Meanwhile Lum and Abner plan a surprise of their own for the town's parade, and the day grows more confused. This is the Lum and Abner series, first broadcast on August 26, 1941, with Chester Lauck, Norris Goff and Lurene Tuttle in the lead roles.
