What happens

Lieutenant Ben Guthrie and Sergeant Matt Graham of the police investigate the stabbing of Charles Jordan at the Paradise Motel on Lookout Point. Robert Weber, a motel resident, identifies a suspect named Jack Carper in a police lineup, claiming Carper robbed him the night before. Guthrie questions Carper, Weber, Jordan's wife Lettie, and Lionel Austin, whose stories about the previous night do not match. The officers weigh the links between Weber, Lettie and the time of the crime. The broadcast is part of The Line Up, an old-time radio police drama, and the cast is listed in its closing credits as William Johnstone as Lieutenant Guthrie and Wally Maher as Sergeant Graham.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
