What happens

Luigi Basko, a newly arrived Italian immigrant, is asked to help choose the name for the O'Reilly's new baby boy, and he is eager to be named godfather at the Sunday christening. The O'Reillys have not yet settled on a name, and their neighbors offer their own suggestions. Luigi's friend Pasquale tries to talk him out of his fixation on the baby's name, while Luigi writes to his mother in Italy about the neighborhood's friendliness. The series Life with Luigi was broadcast on CBS on September 4, 1951, and this episode follows Luigi's attempts to win the honor. The episode is sponsored by Wrigley's gum.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
