What happens

Luigi Basco, a newly arrived Italian immigrant in America, writes letters home to his mama describing his experiences. His friend Pascal Schultz, the neighborhood ice man Joe, and a policeman all drop by his shop, and Pascal's daughter Rosa is mentioned. Luigi is convinced by Pascal that he needs a modern refrigerator to keep up with American life, so he goes shopping at an appliance store. There, a salesman named Mr. Frigidaire walks him through several models and their prices, and Luigi begins weighing which one to buy and how to pay for it.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
