What happens

Luigi Basso, a Chicago restaurant worker and newcomer to America, takes in a quarter he finds under his cash register dated 1827 and dreams of selling it for a fortune. His boss Pasquale is less sure the coin is worth much, and Luigi's rent is overdue. Luigi visits a coin dealer named Brown to find out what the quarter is really worth.

Chicago, in the restaurant of Pasquale and in the streets and shops around it, with a school scene in between.

Characters: Luigi Basso, Pasquale, Scotty, Mr. Basso, Miss Folling, Rosa, Brown

Listen for: Luigi's efforts to decide what to do with the 1827 quarter and what the coin dealer says about it.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
