Life with Luigi is a comedy series from the 1950s, and this episode first aired on September 5, 1950, with J. Carrol Naish in the title role.

A city neighborhood in America, with Luigi's antique shop, a night school classroom, the street and a park.

Characters: Luigi Basko, Pascuale, Schultz, Rosa, Miss Spalding, Mr. Haraway, Mr. Horowitz

Listen for: Luigi's letters to his mother in Italy, which open and close the story, and the comic exchanges as he tries to sell ice cream.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
