What happens

Luigi Basco, a newly arrived Italian immigrant running an antique shop, is offered a consignment of antiques by Mr. Morgan of Buffalo, New York. Encouraged by his friends, Luigi decides to travel there by train to close the deal in person. Life with Luigi is a comedy series, and this episode first aired on August 22, 1950, with J. Carrol Naish in the title role and Alan Reed as Pasquale. Luigi's plans for the journey soon run into trouble, as his friend Pasquale insists he take along his daughter Rosa, and a series of mishaps on the train follows. The episode is told partly through Luigi's letters home to his mother in Italy.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
