What happens

Chester A. Riley and his neighbor and co-worker Jim Gillis plan a joint Thanksgiving dinner at the Riley home, each family bringing a turkey. Riley's wish for the foreman's job makes him reconsider the invitation, and the two men quarrel and call the plans off. Their plans get tangled again as their families and the boss, Mr. Stevenson, are drawn into the holiday meal, with a turkey mix-up complicating matters. The story is told in the classic comedy style of the series, as William Bendix plays Riley and Paula Winslowe plays Peg Riley. The episode aired on November 29, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
