What happens
Chester A. Riley rides home from work and clashes with neighbor Hobart Morris, a real estate operator. At home, Riley's son Junior is writing a composition for the Daily Tribune titled The Greatest Man I Know, and Riley reads it and is flattered. Riley then decides to take advantage of the praise, and his wife Peg asks him for more household money. Later Riley finds that Junior's essay names Hobart Morris instead of him, and the mix-up leads to a dispute over the composition. The Life of Riley, a radio comedy from 1947, stars William Bendix as Riley, with Paula Winslowe as Peg.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
