What happens
Riley and his family have been forced from their home by the crooked agent Julius Hogan, who leased the house to the Larsons. Riley goes to Hogan's office to demand a beach house, and Hogan sells him a cheap cottage at the shore for a month's rent and a bonus. Riley moves his family and the Larsons' nephew Waldo out there, but the house sits right on the edge of the ocean and the floor begins to shift with the tide. The Life of Riley is a radio comedy series, and this episode aired on September 3, 1944, with William Bendix starring as Riley, alongside Paula Winslowe, Hans Conried and Alan Reed.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
