What happens

Chester Riley and Egbert Gillis's sons, Junior and Egbert, leave home for a week at a Boy Scout camp near Lake Arrowhead after their school closes for repairs. Their fathers forbid the trip, but the boys go anyway, leaving both men hurt and resentful. Riley and Gillis agree to ignore their sons and teach them a lesson, but each soon finds himself longing to hear from the boy. The transcript breaks off partway through the story.

Listen for: Riley and Gillis trying to put through long distance calls to their sons at camp, and both secretly giving in.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
