What happens
Private detective George Valentine is contacted by Jeremiah Stark, an antiquarian who runs a curio shop specializing in artifacts from famous murders. Stark receives an anonymous music box in the mail with a love poem printed on it and a tag bearing tomorrow's date on the bottom—suggesting a murder is planned. Valentine investigates the mysterious sender, a tall graying man Stark saw two days ago, tracing him to Mr. Elmington, a wealthy retired barrel hoop manufacturer.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
