What happens

George Valentine is hired by the Acme Mining and Smelting Company to investigate sabotage at their tin mines in Bolivia. Production has mysteriously slowed despite productive mines, and a train full of ore has vanished en route to the coast. George and his secretary Miss Brooks pose as a photographer and reporter to uncover the plot, while George prepares to fly over the railroad route with Jose, a local pilot, to search for the missing train.

Bolivia, including Acme Mining Company offices in an unnamed city and the Bolivian tin mines

Characters: George Valentine, Miss Brooks, Mr. Carter, Ed Burke, Jose

Listen for: George's investigation into the disappearance of a train carrying ore from the mines, his suspicions about Jose's convenient appearances, and the revelation that East German managers at the mines may have communist sympathies

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
