What happens

George Valentine is hired by the nervous Mr. Groves to find his missing wife, who disappeared from their newly rented house the night before following a heated argument. Groves is reluctant to involve the police due to his past, and George soon discovers that the case may be far more complicated than a simple disappearance, with suspicious details emerging about Groves' other activities and visitors.

Characters: George Valentine, Mr. Groves, Rena Hilliard, William (neighbor)

Listen for: George's sharp observation of a freshly scrubbed floor and his probing questions about Groves' mysterious nighttime visitor and early morning activities at the incinerator

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
