What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar travels to Columbus, Ohio, at the request of his old friend Lee Hawkins, an insurance company manager. Spring floods have struck the small town of Carteret, and Hawkins fears the levee protecting it will fail. Dollar and Hawkins find townspeople struggling to reinforce the levee while a debris jam against an old railroad trestle backs up the rising Crooked River. Dollar gathers dynamite and sets out to break the jam. The series is Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, and this episode aired on CBS Radio on June 8, 1958, with Bob Bailey in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
