What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator, is hired after more than $100,000 is stolen from the safe of the Trillingham Tobacco Company in Baltimore. Owner August Trillingham tells him that only three people knew the combination: himself, his timid bookkeeper Elmer Cockley, and Cockley's wife. Dollar visits the Cockley home, where Mrs. Cockley is sharp and evasive, and then learns that Elmer's car has gone off a bridge into a creek. Dollar goes to the scene to identify the body and examine what was recovered from the car. The episode is a radio drama in the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on April 13, 1958, starring Bob Bailey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
