What happens

Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator for Tri-Western Life, is pulled into a case when Jean Unworthy arrives in Hartford warning that a killer, Eric Bean, has vowed to murder everyone connected with his prison sentence. Bean has already killed four of the people on his list, and Jean's father, Albert Unworthy, is insured by the company for over half a million dollars. Dollar refuses at first to take on protection duty, then reluctantly agrees and travels with Jean to Corpus Christi, Texas. The Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar episode, broadcast on CBS Radio on October 23, 1960, stars Bob Bailey as Dollar.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
