What happens

Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator, is asked by Timothy Hanley of the Amalgamated Life Association to look into the disappearance of Thaddeus Brownberg, a wealthy man who vanished seven years earlier after his plane was found in the mountains. Brownberg's widow, Leita, wants him found before a court hearing that would declare him legally dead and release a large insurance payout. Dollar examines a photograph and a set of altered images of Brownberg, and a clue from a mounted fish leads him to a lake resort in Nevada. The episode is from the series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, first broadcast on CBS Radio on March 5, 1961, and starring Bob Bailey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
