What happens

Johnny Dollar finds himself arrested on assault charges filed by Captain Brawley, seemingly a tactic to keep him out of the way. Working with Harbor Police Dan McKay, Johnny pieces together his theory of the Molly K case: Brawley needed money, hired explosives expert Benny Wong to sink the ship for insurance, and Wong killed crew member Bill Mack when discovered. But when they locate Wong's hideout, they find him already dead—shot three times with a .45 caliber gun.

San Francisco Harbor and Fisherman's Wharf in the present day, with references to the Molly K ship and various dock locations.
