What happens

Johnny Dollar is called to Kingman, Arizona by his insurance company to deliver $41,000 cash to Barney Blessing, who wants his retirement policy paid out in full rather than in monthly installments. Jake Kessler, the company's local agent, is laid up with injuries from a horse-riding accident and reveals that Blessing is a former prohibition-era gunman with a mysterious connection to another man named Higbee.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
