What happens

Johnny Dollar investigates the disappearance of eighty pounds of ambergris, a valuable substance he has been hired to insure, after it vanishes from a train depot in Mississippi City, Mississippi. Insurance agent W.C. Holland has written the policy for Mike Meany, a local businessman who rents out boats and equipment to fishermen. Dollar questions Meany, who is hostile and demanding, and then speaks with Billy Fisher, a young fisherman who found the substance at sea. The episode is part of the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar series, and its lead actors include Bob Bailey, Edmond O'Brien, John Lund, and Charles Russell.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
