What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator for Worldwide Mutual, looks into the disappearance of a valuable jade Buddha insured by the company. A rumor says the statue has turned up in a Paris shop, though it was never reported missing. Dollar travels to Boston and visits the late Darryl Harcourt's house, where the Buddha was kept in a locked study. The study's door has been sealed for years, and Dollar is struck by the dust covering everything. He questions the housekeeper, Mrs. Haskell, and the family lawyer, Howard Bancroft, about who could have reached the room. Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar is a radio series starring Bob Bailey, and this episode first aired on CBS Radio on June 28, 1959.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
