What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar arrives in the small Nevada town of Flint Rock to look into a mysterious trust case. Banker Jonas Parks, who initiated the paperwork for widow Mrs. Ezra Greamley to set up a substantial trust for her granddaughter Susan, has called for help because something feels wrong—though he cannot quite explain what. Dollar must navigate to the remote Greamley ranch to discover what has prompted the secretive request.

Flint Rock, Nevada, a small desert town with a bank, casino bars, restaurant, and general store. The Greamley ranch lies outside town across desert terrain.
